A Personal Quote

"Ever consider what they must think of us? I mean, here we come back from a grocery store with the most amazing haul--chicken, pork, half cow. They must think we're the greatest hunters on earth!" ~Anne Tyler

I discovered this quote a while back. I found it hilarious!! And true. Too true!! Whenever we carry home grocery bags full of food, first Rose greets the door with her ferocious "hound" bark. Next, comes high-pitched baying. Soon, her nose is poked deep inside our bags!! Ooh!! Potatoes!! Yum!! Corn chips!! Ooh!! Chicken!! Is it all for me....? Seriously. The "greatest hunters on earth", all right....

Thanks for commenting!!
And YOU feed your girls HOME-MADE meals.... Right? They EAT at least SOME of the grocery store's items!! ;op

haha, yep they certainly do! I actually really enjoyed making them cookies. More than I probably should have lol.

True about what you said though, that I know what's in it now. I'll use that as my excuse to make more

Yep. With home-baked dog treats, YOU know their INGREDIENTS!! ;)
I occasionally make Rose biscuits, and, yes, I DO enjoy mixing them together!! It is FUN, when you own a "food-lovin'" canine!! On THAT note, they are USUALLY eaten up PRETTY QUICKLY around here!! ;op
Thanks again for posting the dog cookie recipe. I am EXCITED to TRY it!! :-D

I finally had the time to grab a cup of tea and sit to read all your posts ... absolutely looooved reading all of them! Rose is one blessed baby dog-ter (daughter) =). Praying you are healing well and getting back to your joyful self! In re: to this post, that is so true, for both our furry girls, ... and my human girls too :D! Reading your post on treats is inspiring us to have a day to bake something special for our Gracie too. Your injury, encounter with wild animals, ordeal with illness and fireworks, had me wanting to read more! It also reminded me of the Lord's protection over you each and everytime. We'll be looking forward to more recipes, going on exciting adventures with you, being encouraged to love on our dogger and enjoy beautiful writing .. from a beautiful lady .. via Beautifully Unique. <3
